I've had my Delonghi for over a year now and it is working better and better. Saying that I'm a fan of coffee is putting it mildly as I normally drink approximately 10 espressos a day or more. I haven't had any problems with my machine (or me):. The Delonghi did finally slow down towards the end of the year mark but cleaning it out with distilled white vinegar and water (50/50 solution) did the trick and my espressos are still flavorful and creamy. (I purchased an expensive espresso machine cleaning solution which did absolutely nothing but the vinegar worked immediately). My espressos have gotten creamier as time goes by and I really have no reason to purchase an espresso elsewhere because mine are better than what is served at the local coffee bar. I use a variety of coffees but the all-time best is Starbucks French Roast. I buy it already ground and grind it for 10 seconds more in my grinder.
I have tried a couple of different machines, 1 cheaper and 1 more expensive, but took them both back. If/When my Delonghi dies I will buy another, just like it!
