Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of DeLonghi EW7707CM Oil-filled Radiator with ComforTemp Technology

Customer Review: Works like a Champ!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this heater because our new lower addition was built on a concrete slab and our TV room borders on cold in the winter (love the cool room in summer!). The heater arrived within 5 days of ordering (NICE), and we plugged it in that night. There was a little odor as the heater was breaking in - but the odor was not very offensive - it certainly did not clear the room, so to speak. Best of all, it heats up the room (13'x19')to a nice even temperature within 30 minutes. It is quiet, minds its manners, and best of all, you don't have to send the little bugger to college! I recommend this heater to anyone trying to heat up a small area.

Customer Review: Okay if it's not too cold
Summary: 4 Stars

During our recent cold weather here in the NW, my furnace broke so I had to rely on my oil-filled DeLonghi radiator and a smaller Honeywell ceramic heater to keep warm. The DeLonghi does okay keeping a small room warm - unless the temps get into the teens and below, which has been the case here - where I really couldn't tell it was putting out heat unless I was standing right next to it. Also, although this heater has been running continuously for a couple of weeks, that "new oil" smell has not dissipated and it is very irritating to the nose. The other DeLonghi I have (the more expensive model) burned through that odor in two or three days so I thought this one would do the same. It hasn't. I also find the ComforTemp heat control confusing and difficult to set, as opposed to the thermostat setting on the DeLonghi TRD0715T which is much more intuitive.

For extremely cold weather (it was 2 degrees on my deck yesterday morning), the smaller Honeywell ceramic heater that has a fan does a much better job of reaching and maintaining a comfortable level of warmth in the room I use the most often which is a long, narrow room approx. 25'x 10'.

Customer Review: oil filled radiator

I am very satisfied,I have had this radiator for 2 months, and it heats the room very well. I actually have to turn it down or the room gets too hot.I live in a 4 bedroom house with just my wife, so instead of heating the whole house, we put this in the bedroom. With the door closed, the room stays warm. The medium setting is enough for the 12X12 room.

Customer Review: Not good for big spaces
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this to heat my basement. While it does take off the chill, it doesn't make it cozy as I had wanted. I expect this is because the basement is at least 15x30. Oh well, it still takes off the chill.

Customer Review: Nice and Warm
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought two DeLonghi heaters to keep our bedrooms warm at night and gas bills down. We set the temperature at med-high level and they do a great job! One negative feature is the weight of the heaters. Even though they have wheels, it is still very clumsy to move them from room to room. I bought another mini fan heater to carry around the house when needed.

One final note, we received the heaters before Amazon notified us that they had been shipped!
