We bought two DeLonghi heaters to keep our bedrooms warm at night and gas bills down. We set the temperature at med-high level and they do a great job! One negative feature is the weight of the heaters. Even though they have wheels, it is still very clumsy to move them from room to room. I bought another mini fan heater to carry around the house when needed.
One final note, we received the heaters before Amazon notified us that they had been shipped!

I was so excited to get this heater. Once I received it...disappointment hit. This heater becomes EXTREMELY hot! I was trying to SLIGHTLY move it away from the wall, by the handle, and it burned my hand! It was like laying my hand on a hot stove. VERY HOT! As hot as the actual heater gets, it did not heat my room at all!! I would send it back, but it's so heavy, the shipping costs would be unreal!! DON'T waste your money on this heater!!Customer Review: Love this heater!

We had been looking for a heater to warm our den without having to use the central heat. My husband didn't believe this small heater was up to the job but I ordered it in spite of his objections. It has turned out to be one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. It is basically silent and if used correctly, keeps my room with 12' ceilings nice and cozy. The unit itself doesn't get overly hot, so I'm not worried about one of the dogs or children brushing against it and getting a burn. It is very easy to roll around on tile floors and has a generous length of cord. This one works so well that I'm considering getting another for the back part of the house. I bought the DeLonghi to heat my home office during the day and my bedroom at night. Both are fairly small rooms (10 x 12ish), and the DeLonghi does a fantastic job, even when it's in the single digits outside. I'm able to set my GFA central heat down to 50 and just run the DeLonghi at the 3-4 setting on low voltage all night--works great! I don't use the ComforTemp because the temperature is way too high. During the day, I run the heater at 6 on low voltage in my office, which is drafty and has a large window. The heater keeps it comfortably warm. My only real complaint is that it takes hours to heat a room up. I usually move the heater into my bedroom at around 9 in order to go to bed at 11, and then I still blast the central heat for a bit to get the room warm enough to go to sleep; after that, the DeLonghi keeps the temperature perfect all night.
I did have trouble with the horrible outgassing smell when I first used the heater. I followed the instructions and ran it on high for several hours, but that didn't get rid of the smell. I ended up running it on high for several days, and even now it smells when I run it on 6 (max setting) on high voltage. I just stick to the low and medium voltage and lower heat settings and there's no smell.
