I bought this DeLonghi heater after I had to throw the Soleus panel heater in the garbage after finding it did NOTHING to heat a room. We bought the DeLonghi HHP1500 Mica Panel Radiator heater for a basement bedroom and it works GREAT. This is my son's bedroom and I didn't want a floor heater because he's not to be trusted to NOT throw clothing, paper, blankets or whatever on top of it. This heater was easily hung on the wall....which is PERFECT for a kid's room. We've used it for 2 winters now and it is more than sufficient for his bedroom. It gets nice and toasty in there.
I highly recommend this heater and suggest, from experience, you stay away from the similar Soleus panel heater :).

With most electric heaters this size I've alway seen the elements glowing
orange and becoming VERY hot whenever it's turned on. But with this heater you don't see the orange glow, but you can feel the heat real well. I can even feel the heat when I'm more than 6 feet from the it! It's very quiet and doesn't even make any noise when it's heating up. Although it costs more than many electric space heaters, it's well worth the price!

The DeLonghi HHP1500 Mica Panel Radiator is well worth the money. The first time use produced very little odor. This unit provides great warmth to a fairly large cathedral ceiling room that includes kitchen, dining, and living room (21'x25') even on the low setting (ceiling fan used to mix air). It is being used to supplement fuel oil hot water baseboard heat to keep oil usage down. Once the cold weather sets in permanently we may have to make adjustments to the settings that are used to maintain a good balance between oil and electric.Customer Review: Room heater

This heater works fast and warms a room throughout. You don't have to sit directly in front of it to feel warm. I'm running it in my upstairs bedroom (20x14). On the high setting will raise the room temperature 8 to 10 degrees in less the 45 minutes and that's in Central New Hampshire in Fall. Can easily be mounted onto the wall without worrying about heat damage to the wall. Bring up the temp quickly on high then lower to maintain temp. I would recommend this unit to anyone.
