This is a great design of a portable air conditioner. It consists of two, one cold and one hot, separate units connected with flexible hose, which can be disconnected for installation. It is powerful and quiet. I have installed it in the garage where my wife does laundry. I pulled the hoses through the hole I made in the concrete wall. When the A/C is on the temperature in the garage of 400 square feet drops from 843F to 75F.
The only bad thing is the poor customer support. They did not reply my e-mails at all and when I called them that person appeared having no idea how the product worked nor he knew anything about basics of A/Cs. In other words after you have bought the product you are left on your own

DeLonghi model PAC400 Pinguino energy saving portable air conditioner. Because a portable air conditioner can be operated independently of central air systems, it is easier to target cooling specifically where you want it. Cooling with a central air system usually creates wide fluctuations in temperature and cuases a cool / warm effect as the thermostat cycles on and off. This unit features DeLonghiis "NO DRIP" technology. This exclusive process uses condensation and collected moisture to help cool the air. Excess vapor is then discharged through the exhaust hose. Built-in dehumidifier removes up to 88.77 pints of moisture a day. 13,000 BTU'sProviding 13,000 BTU's of cooling power, this energy-efficient air conditioner features "no drip" technology, which is an exclusive process that uses condensation and collected moisture to help cool the air, discharging excess vapor through the exhaust hose. The unit is designed with a 24-hour programmable timer and convenient bypass function, as well as an easy-to-use control panel that incorporates an "on/off" switch and two fan speeds. Its built-in dehumidifier is ideal for basements, garages, or wherever there's excess water in the air, removing up to 88-3/4 pints of moisture per day. Its adjustable thermostat can be set to accommodate individual preferences, and unlike central air, the portable air conditioner easily cools specifically where it's needed most. Its high-efficiency compressor and components provide quiet operation, and due to an automatic safety device, the rotary compressor is protected when the unit is switched on immediately after being switched off.
