...still love it - I don't know what the last reviewer was talking about. To make toast you just need to figure out what setting you like best - maybe hers is defective? I use mine all the time, whatever fits, in lieu of my oven. Very easy to clean, still looks great too. Food cooks in half the time or less.
Description of Delonghi AR690 Retro Convection Oven
Delonghi Retro Convection Oven, with exclusive turbo convection fan distributes heat uniformly with no hot spts and miximum control. Up to 30% faster than standard ovens.Gorgeous retro styling on this 1,500-watt DeLonghi convection oven isn't just a front. The machine also performs--with the options of toasting, defrosting, baking, broiling, top-browning, and warming. Upper and lower heating elements, fan-circulated air, and the easy-to-clean DuraStone enameled interior deliver consistent and uniform heat distribution. The thermostat on this model is fully adjustable, with a temperature range from 200 to 450 degrees F. Additionally, it has specific settings for toast/broil, keep warm, and dehydrating. The machine accommodates up to six slices of bread at a time and comes with a toast-color selector dial and a slide-out crumb tray. DeLonghi includes two cookie sheets, a broiling rack, a shallow pan, two wire shelves, and a rubberized tray-grip. Great for everything from sirloin strips to bar cookies, the oven is also a looker, with sleek lines, polished chrome sides, and a brushed metallic front.
